New to the world of Grant, Zethain wasted no time getting started. He had immediately gone to the Quest Board in the nearest town. There he accepted a promising quest to get himself started. It was easy, a delivery mission, which didn't sound too hard. He was supposed to take that to a man outside of the Crimson Star base, that could cause some difficulties. He wouldn't back down, he'd persevere and press on! There wasn't anything he couldn't do and he'd prove himself...starting small first, then onto bigger things. Yeah.
Standing at the edge of the Black Woods, the one-eyed man stared idly in. Looking up at the virtual sun, he could tell it was about mid-afternoon, not too shabby, because going into a forest at night was a death wish. Still, he was anxious about doing this. Giving his head a hard shake, Zethain stepped across the threshold, noticed nothing happened to him, then sighed with relief. If something went wrong, he had his trusty sword and armor to protect him. If that failed, well, he was screwed.
"Lets get this over with.." He murmured to himself and continued to walk deeper into the woods, the package cradled under the crook of his left arm.

Rays of sun pierced through the gaps between the trees, and pierced through whatever gaps it could from the top of the trees down, needless to say the forest was not pitch black, but it was nicely shaded. Still the shadows that persevered even at this time where still enough to allow for the watchers to hide in the darkness, and keep an eye on the visitor. They were aware of the package, and yes they could have left the man be allowed him to complete his quest yet...Under orders from their leader the Crimson's were ordered to give this guy a hard time, and so they would.
With swift yet silent footsteps, and almost inhuman agility the men rushed through the forest knowing the landscape like the back of their hands, at full sprint they rushed to a predetermined location. Landing firmly on the ground after vaulting over a fallen tree they stood next to three other fellow Crimson's, one in particular a buxom woman sat atop a large cage that house three wolves. Bangs of brown hair cacaded down from her head, piercing crimson eyes stared off into the distance, a leather bra held up her plump bust, shoulders protected by leather armor, her stomach nicely sculpted, and her legs covered by pieces of leather armor. 'He is near the point miss Lana' one of the men said, the woman didn't turn to face the man but answered regardless.
"Then I advice all of you move away, so I can release my hounds. Though most with haste lest you wish to become a meal" she said as he stood up reaching for the ring that would unlock the cage, with a simple whistle the woman riled up her pets. Standing upright she cracked her neck with a stiff move to the left, the men nervously moved climbing atop a high place to avoid becoming lunch. Pulling the ring, the cage would swing open with the force of the three wolves as they rushed out, the woman snapped her fingers catching their attention. Looking up at their master the wolves waited, "That way, devour the man who wanders on our territory" she ordered as she whistled, and with that the wolves rushed away in their pointed direction.
Growls, and howls could be heard as the animals got closer to the beaten path....

Walking along the dirt path, Zethain was lost in his own thoughts. Nothing too significant, just what he was to do with the rewards for finishing this quest. The howls of approaching beasts shocked him out of his mind and brought him back to virtual reality. Staring ahead, Zethain tried to picture what was coming...and couldn't do it. It could be simple animals chasing their prey but then again, he could be the prey. Swallowing roughly, Zethain 's eyes darted to either side of the path, looking for a place to hide the package. Feeling a rush of relief, he hurried off to the side, groped a tree then shoved the package into a nook and returned to the path.
Spreading his feet a part, Zethain took a steady stance. Placing his left gauntleted hand on the scabbard at his waist, he gripped the hilt of his sword with the other gauntleted hand. He wasn't sure which way they were coming from. There were trees and shrubbery all around him except for the beaten path ahead of him. Turning to face the left, he watched the path in his peripheral vision. He was more or less ready for the oncoming threat.
Please don't let them come from behind me... He silently prayed within his mind.

Viciously the wolves broke through the bushes they snarled and growled as they stepped along the beaten path their wild eyes glaring at the intended prey. There he was, the man with the eye patch stood there in their line of sight. The wolves growled, and snapped their mouth as they approached the man they where coming from the right but even then it was hard not to notice the trio of wolves with all the noise they were making. Without much time wasted a wolf charged forward towards the man, it was impatient it seemed with much haste the beast charged saliva drolling from its mouth as it approached it prey. When it was close the wolf jumped into the air paws outward, and mouth open ready to knock the man down then bite into his flesh!

Suddenly the growls ans snarls of the beasts got really loud and Zethain got the feeling he was being watching. Looking to his right and then left, he saw nothing, which unfortunately meant they came from behind, which would be the to the right of the beaten path. Moving slowly, Zeth looked over his shoulder and caught sight of the three wolves, watching him watching them. With a slow but deliberate pace, Zethain twisted and pivoted his body to face them, situated his weapon to draw it smoothly. Too late, one leaped at him, intending to tear him to shreds.
This is it!
Letting out a roar, Zethain stepped towards the lunging beast, drawing his longsword and slashing diagonally upwards while sidestepping to the wolf's right. If this was completed successfully, it would more than likely greatly injure the beast if not cleaving it in two. He'd finish the movement by turning sideways, blade held reversed with it pointed at the ground, diagonally. He would be watching the wolves to the right and to see if the one he hit, to his left, was alive or not. (Does this work?)

A yelp escaped the wolf as it was cleaved cleanly in half, with its own force of momentum plus the mans swing the wolf was killed almost instantly. The other two feral canines watched as their comrade fell in battle, too hasty had gotten him killed the two wolves would let out synchronized howls as if to lay homage to their comrade. With that the two wolves charged at the man, snarling, and growling as they came at him at once then in one fluid movement the two would begin to zig zag as if to confuse the man!
Finally one wolf lunged from the left aiming high for the man's chest, the other charged in low aiming to snap on one of the mans legs!

He hardly spared a glance for the halves of the wolf he had cut through. With what he saw, he knew the beast was dead, which only left two other wolves. Yea, only However, it seemed to enrage them and they rushed at him after howling. One on one, he could take them but two at a time? He might take an injury or two. Turning his body all the way to face the oncoming threat, Zethain braced himself for the attacks. Only now they zig-zagged towards him.
His one yes moved side to side, trying to keep sight of them. They were quick and with there being two, it would be hard to concentrate on just one. Too late, he had no time to formulate a strategy to escape unharmed. Both wolves lunged towards one, one high and one low. His body was basically rooted to the ground, since he was bracing for a full frontal assault, so it would be highly difficult to move and dodge them. Instead, he stayed as he was and jabbed his sword forwards, left and up to impale the one wolf aiming for his chest. In which case he'd tank the attack to one of his legs but then he'd try to kick the beast away if it tried to overextend its stay.
"Ouch! You damn beast!"

Eyes grew wide as the finely sharpened tip of the longsword pierced its mouth, and made an exit wound through the back of its head the wolf felt only momentary pain, and then passed on to the afterlife the weight of the limped body would surely weigh down the sword of the man. The other wolf however ran in unharmed as it chomped down on his leg with a vicious bite, its fangs sinking into the mans calves, the wolf would try to tug, and pull in an attempt to break flesh but a series of kicks only stopped it for moment before it went back to pulling at the mans leg, it seemed the only way to get this one off would be to dispatch it...

Zethain was able to eliminate the wolf that attacked high but that left him open to be attacked from below. His armored greaves didn't do much to deter the beast's fangs because soon enough, he could feel them biting his flesh. Holding back a yelp of pain, Zeth struggled under the weight of the dead wolf on his blade and just let it fall. Forcing it downwards, he dropped it directly on top of the wolf biting his leg. From there, he pulled his blade back then stabbed it downwards. He intended to thrust through the dead wolf's body and impale the one, that's hopefully, trapped underneath it.
