Quest here work very easily, there are however two types of quests. The first are posted quests which are quests that will be posted up in the quest area found in the Main Menu. Quests will take you to different places, and have different objectives from the very insignificant to the very significant so don't expect all quests to be epic, some are just minor errands! Still all quests no matter how miniscule yield rewards, whether it be experience, gold, or on rare occasions items!
In honor of the MMO! You will always be able to choose what quest you want out of the posted quests, you can accept them so long as you meet the requirements which may be a level requirement or a require a certain amount of people in order to take part in the quest.
Now for NPC quest, these are random, and can happen at any time yes no thread is safe! You may be having an epic romance thread, or some other nice thread when all of a sudden your character may be faced with a choice. Take part in the quest? Or not...Sometimes it is as simple as an NPC asking for help, other times its more indirect such as a shriek in the distance, will you go investigate?
Like in all aspects in Grant, the choice will always be yours.
You re spawn in the nearest transportation center, and are considered dropped from the quest if it was a one person quest, it is restarted, and you must re apple for the quest. If it was a quest with multiple participants, then you are dropped, and your comrades go on!
You reap no benefits for dying, so don't die!

Grant has a death system, like any MMO you will re-spawn at the nearest teleportation station of the nearest city! Of course we advice you not to die carelessly for there are consequences for such an untimely event. The death system works like this, your character dies in a battle, or even an environmental trap your character will re spawn. Upon re spawning though your character loses 20% of their Gold, & they also lose the chance of gaining any experience if they had completed the thread, or mission!

Experience (EXP) is used to level up your character class, an your weapons. Pretty much you will gain experience from taking part in events, quests, and finishing threads every time you finish a thread you simply put [F] in the title, then a staff member will review the thread, and in the end they will grant experience to all parties involved. Now, when you get experience you get a set amount which you are free to distribute as you please, in order to do this you have to go to the Character Center, and post in the character editing station. Once you post there your experience will be distributed amongst your selected items, and classes.
To keep track of your experience, simply look at your template once you look at your template you will see the appropriate experience count beside each Class, and each weapon. Remember that experience varies, just because one thread granted you 150 exp doesn't mean another thread will.
Classes take experience to be leveled up, which allow you to unlock more special moves related to that Class! You have the freedom to distribute your experience to whatever you please, whether it be your Main every Class requires 150 experience points to level up to the next level. Classes currently have no level cap.
Your weapons require experience in order to level up, and unlock Special Moves or SM. These moves vary with every weapon, and do different things some moves are passive, while others are active. It doesn't really matter what weapon you wield because all weapons cap at Level 5!
The gold system is quite simple, gold is used to purchase Weapons as well as specialty items here in Grant, the gold itself can be obtained from many sources such as completing Missions, selling your current weapons, and also Guilds yield a daily income of gold.

This area will break down the Class system, and pretty much explain how everything works, so make sure to read this area before you choose on a character!
So here's how it works, the Class System is made of both Main, and a we're going to cover the Main Class first...
So the Main Class will the main go to class for your character, it will allow them to benefit from the abilities both active, and passive that the Class grants to the character. Now in order to do this you have to level up your class, how do you do this? Simple you take part in missions, threads, and events! But the EXP system will be explained in another chapter, for now pay attention to the Class. So your main class dictates the weapons your character will be able to use, certain weapons require certain classes to be wielded by the player, just to be clear only your MAIN class allows you to determine what weapons. Your Main class pretty much dictates 100% of everything.
So remember, choose wisely!
Every Class has abilities, you can gain these abilities by gaining experience then feeding it, you can feed experience into them. Once a certain amount of Experience is met your Class will level up, now keep in mind every class gives certain abilities at different levels. So don't expect to gain an ability every level, because it will be random. Although everyone starts off with a Basic ability from their Main.
[/style][style=font-size:23px; font-family:georgia; text-align:right;]WARRIOR CLASS The most basic of Classes, the Warrior class is an all melee class those who use this class will have access to a variety of boosting abilities, as well as some really intense power moves later on down the road. The Warrior Class is a good class for anyone who wants to get in close, and bash their enemy up!
Starting Ability Battle Cry - This unique ability is usually activated when the user releases a battle cry, the user will be outline by a raging aura, which varies in color. For a brief amount of time the user is granted with enhanced Stamina, and Strength turning them into a true warrior, their increased stamina allows for more repeated attacks, and the increased strength puts some serious power behind those attacks.

[/style][style=font-size:23px; font-family:georgia; text-align:left;]ASSASSIN CLASS The Assassin relies on stealth, and uses indirect attacks to confuse the enemy, and catch them off guard. An Assassin will have access to many deceiving moves, and many illusion type moves, this class is not one to be taken lightly, nor is it one recommended for a novice player.
Starting Ability Motionless Shadow - A unique technique used by the Assassin class, the user is able to use whatever shadows are around them to blend into the shadow they become the shadow itself. The only thing is the user must remain totally still when performing this skill, and the shadow must be large enough to accommodate the user.

[/style][style=font-size:23px; font-family:georgia; text-align:right;]MAGE CLASS The Mage is an all around combative magic user, the Mages can fight from both afar, and mid range all depending on their magical knowledge of course. The Mage class is not really the up close, and personal type they are more of ranged support classes that use a variety of direct combat spells to overwhelm the enemy, or weaken them for fellow party members.
Starting Ability Elemental Blast - The Mage is able to use elements to bend to his or her will, this ability allows the Mage to fire a variety of elemental blasts at the intended target. The elemental blasts can vary, but at the current level the Mage has a choice between a fireball, lightning bolts [shot in a singular scatter form similar to a shotgun blast], or a water blast . The Mage can fire only one element at a time, but can switch it up between all three.

[/style][style=font-size:23px; font-family:georgia; text-align:left;]PALADIN CLASS The healing class! Yes, the name Paladin is more for a warrior that uses healing magic but we think it sounds cool so we're using it for this class. The Paladin Class is the ultimate support class, they focus on defense, healing, and boost magics. The Paladin Class can help their allies by providing fortified defenses, healing them, or even giving them a temporary boost in order to allow them to fight better!
Starting Ability Blessing of Miara - A very basic ability, the Paladin will activate this ability, and in doing so he or she will be able to either provide a defensive barrier which will consist of a solid 3 dimensional wall which will appear in whatever direction the Paladin is facing. If not defense, then the blessing can be used to heal fellow teammates, or the Paladin themselves. This of course is limited healing magic for now, the Paladin must focus on the afflicted area, and can only heal one damaged area at a time, and cannot heal the body as a whole at once.
Type : Active PD : 3 [For barrier Only, healing has no PD] CD : 1 [For barrier Only]
[/style][style=font-size:23px; font-family:georgia; text-align:right;]GUN BLADER CLASS The Gun Blader is a special class that came with your copy of Grant! This class is a special feature class added as a bonus as a thank to those who pre ordered their game. The Gun Balder classes is a combination of both close range with their sharpened swords, and mid range with their energy projectiles they are an all offensive class, that relies heavily on keeping the enemy on their toes! A great for both beginners, and intermediate players. All Gunblade weapons are able to fire energy projectiles at the enemy, unless specifically told otherwise.
Starting Ability Dead Aim The Dead Aim ability is a support ability when activated the user will fire a blue cross shaped energy shot from their Gunblade. This shot will stick to the enemy, it will not hurt them but only stick to them, then when the user fires the again the shot will be their regular shot from their Gunblade will follow the target, and track them being attracted to the cross. This of course can be prevented if the user manager to somehow block, or deflect the shot with a technique or their own or even their environment.
Type: Active PD : N/A CD : 3
[/style][style=font-size:23px; font-family:georgia; text-align:left;]HARBRINGER CLASS The Harbgringer class a special class found here in Grant! this character in particular has the ability to use multiple weapons, meaning that unlike the other classes who are limited to only using specific weapons, the Harbringer can use multiple weapons. This character class has the ability to use these weapons, but they are still bound by the level requirements, for example if a sword requires a level 5 Warrior to wield it then the Harbringer class must be at level 5 to use the weapon. Now another thing about this class is that, they are the only class able to have up to two weapons from the start. Good class for experienced players looking for a challenge.
Starting Ability Weapon Morph The Harbringer is able to cloak their weapon with energy, which can change the weapon to an extent. For example a swords edge could be serrated, or it could become sharp enough to slice through solid steel! This ability of course can only be used for ONE attack, and there after must be allowed to cool down
Type : Active PD : 1 CD : 4
[/style][style=font-size:23px; font-family:georgia; text-align:right;]FIGHTER CLASS Experts in the hand to hand combat! The Fighter class is known for its deceptive tactics, and powerful yet accurate attacks that comes from their unique fighting style, Okichita-Dokai. Unfortunately this is one of the hardest classes to play, due to the fact that at the very beginning of their journey they are very much green horns in their respective art of Okichita-Dokai.
Starting Ability Iron StrikeA basic technique used by practitioners of Okichita-Dokai, in this particular technique the user will focus all their intensive energy into a fist, or foot. Then in one single strike they will launch either a punch or kick, this attack will be as hard as iron. In comparison to being hit by a brick wall at best, though this technique requires great focus to prepare for beginners, and if used multiple times it deals damage to the users limb.
